Associate Dean for Professional Graduate Programs, Clinical Professor of Management Information Systems
Brian Cameron is the Associate Dean for Professional Graduate Programs and Clinical Professor of Management Information Systems at the Penn State Smeal College of Business. As Associate Dean, he is responsible for the development, administration, and strategic direction of the professional graduate programs offered by the college.  This portfolio includes the resident and executive MBA programs, the Master’s of Accounting and Supply Chain Master’s programs, and new graduate certificates and professional graduate degree programs.

MBA Managing Director
Carrie Marcinkevage, Penn State Smeal MBA Managing Director, is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational leadership of the full-time Penn State Smeal MBA program. Her role comprises admissions, student services, career and corporate services, and alumni involvement. Carrie comes to Smeal from the management consulting and training industry, focusing on organizational leadership of people and projects. She has traversed many organizational roles including marketing brand management, recruiting and training, instructional design, software development, project management, and sales.

MBA Faculty Director

Lou Gattis serves as Faculty Director for the Penn State Smeal MBA Program. He joined the Smeal College of Business faculty in 2004 as a Clinical Professor of Finance. A graduate of Smeal, Gattis received a B.S. with Distinction in Finance and went on to a 15-year career in corporate finance and investment management. In addition to roles at IBM Federal Systems and Freddie Mac, he served as an adjunct professor in finance and economics at George Mason University. Prior to joining Smeal, Gattis served as a teaching professor of finance at the University of Maryland. At Smeal, he teaches courses at the undergraduate, MBA, and Executive MBA level and has received numerous teaching awards.

Student Services Associate
Chelsea manages events, associations, student inquiries, websites, and many other facets of student life.
Portrait of Brenda Fabian Brenda Fabian
MBA Career Services Director

Brenda Fabian leads the development and management of career services for the Penn State Smeal MBA program and for new residential and online business programs. She has previous admissions and employer relations experience from Smeal.

Prior to joining Smeal in 2014, Brenda served as the Career Development Center director at Susquehanna University.

Brenda holds a Master of Arts degree in Student Personnel from Slippery Rock University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Saint Francis University.

Administrative Assistant and Office Manager

Melissa Forsha is the assistant to the MBA Managing Director and the office manager. She oversees a broad range of the program’s administrative activities including office management, budgetary responsibilities, and administrative policies and procedures. She also coordinates the global immersion trips and assists with EMBA activities and events. Ms. Forsha has worked in the college for over twelve years, having spent nine of those years working in the Dean's Office.

Assistant Director, Employer Relations & Recruiting
Kim Kneas assists both Employer Relations and Admissions in the execution of candidate recruiting and employer relationship strategies for the MBA Program.Kim’s prior work experience primarily focused on higher education, serving as a consultant for several college publishers and an ed tech startup company.

Manager, MBA Employer Relations

Carol Lockard directs all MBA internship and permanent recruiting events for companies and students. She is a member of the MBA Career Services Council and is involved in several career consortia across the country. Her prior work experience includes retail management and commercial banking.

Director, MBA Employer Relations
Paul Poissant provides the Smeal MBA Program with a single voice in working with its student and corporate customers. Before joining Smeal, he worked in customer service, distribution, and supply management for the Quaker Oats Company (now a part of Pepsi) and The Franklin Mint Corporation.

Denise Rill
Director, Student Services

Denise Rill provides leadership and direction for student services and programs for resident MBA students and students in professional graduate degree programs. Additionally, she provides academic advising and counseling to current students and graduate student organizations.

Denise earned a Masters of Education degree in Adult Education from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Communications from the University of Baltimore.

Receptionist
Sandy Simler is the front-line staff person.  Her duties include answering phones, greeting visitors, processing financial forms, and providing general staff support.

Matt Soroka
Associate Director, MBA Career Services

Matt Soroka is the Associate Director of Career Services for the Penn State Smeal MBA program. Matt joins us from the Penn State Bank of America Career Services Center where has was the Assistant Director of College and Employer Relations. Matt holds a Master of Business in Sport Management from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics from Penn State.

Michael Waldhier
Admissions Director

Michael Waldhier, Admissions Director for the Penn State Smeal MBA program, is responsible for recruiting, admissions strategy, financial aid, and outreach for both the residential MBA and Master of Management and Organizational Leadership (MMOL) programs. A 2009 alum of the Smeal MBA, Michael has a broad background in strategic and operations consulting, recruiting and talent development, data analytics, customer relationship management, and IT security and policy development.

Assistant Admissions Director
Ben Webb is the Assistant Director of Admissions for the MBA and Master of Management and Organizational Leadership programs. Prior to joining Smeal in 2016, Ben worked for Wilkes University in their admission department for almost three years managing a recruiting territory, the student ambassadors, and overseeing financial aid for his students.
