Find Housing

This page provides information about housing in the State College area.

Secure Housing Early

The Smeal College of Business is located on the University Park campus of Penn State. The local town is named State College. There are a number of housing options available in the area and the following links will help you with your relocation, however, they are not intended to be a comprehensive list of all housing options available in the area.

As it gets closer to the school year, apartments can be difficult to find, so please keep in mind that it is very important to secure housing as early as possible.

Please view the various links below for both permanent and temporary housing options.

Housing during Orientation

When coordinating your move, please keep in mind the start of orientation when signing a lease. If your lease does not start until after the beginning of Orientation, you may need to find temporary housing. However, you may be able to negotiate an early move in date with your landlord. Please note that an earlier move-in date is in no way guaranteed and, once again, you may have to find temporary housing for the two weeks of orientation.  International students should be aware that temporary housing from beginning to mid-August is usually available through Global Programs.  Please check their International Student Orientation webpage for more information.
